Even when you are comparing moving on your own versus moving with the professionals, All My Sons Moving and Storage it is less costly on your wallet. It may seem like doing-it-yourself seems like a feasible option until you weigh in the cost of the rental truck, the fuel, the equipment rental as well as the bottle on aspirin after it’s all said and done.

There are several different places to rent truck but most of them advertise a daily price. That ‘on the sign out front’ price is not showing you the >$4 a gallon fuel charge they charge if you return the vehicle not topped off.

The blankets are probably one of the best examples in the comparison. Rental blankets are very thin and small by design because they have to fit in that little bag. (I think the idea of that little bag and the little blankets is that the rental company knows that you would have a tough time re folding those and putting them back into that bag unless you are a professional parachute packer. Reason being, they charge to fold the blankets and clean the truck when you return it). Our Blankets are large and quilted. If I was to spend a night on Mount Hood or any mountain in the Cascade Range, I would prefer our quilted blues over any rental blanket. The equipment makes a big difference on the performance on the move, the condition of the household goods, and how frustrated you get stuck in a stairwell with that lazy boy recliner which never reclines right unless you are stuck in a stairwell.

All these are good points, but the most obvious point of why All My Sons moving and is less costly is because of the wear and tear on you, your friends and family. Save theirs and your backs.
